Course Description

Note: Algebra 2 [Honors] Semester A contains Quarter Parts 1 and 2.

In Algebra 2 [Honors], Part 1, you will dive into a multitude of topics that explore the depths of fundamental Algebra concepts and their applications. First, review the characteristics of linear functions and their graphs. Next, investigate systems of equations and see how they relate to applications and matrices. Finally, examine quadratic functions and the characteristics of quadratic graphs. In the second part of Algebra 2 [Honors], things get really exciting as you learn about the complex number system and some advanced types of functions. First, continue your study of quadratics by learning about the many ways to solve quadratic equations. Next, explore a new type of number system by working with complex numbers and solutions. Become a pro at an important Algebra concept by working with polynomials in a variety of problems. Finally, examine a whole new world of functions and their characteristics, including roots, radicals, and rational functions.
