Cambridge College SEM210W Social Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management Fall 2024, Start Date 10/28/24

This course examines the characteristics and nature of entrepreneurship and the nuances of growing a small socially conscious business. Topics covered include, the generation of entrepreneurial ideas, market identification, the development of a business plan, accounting methods, nonprofit and social business sustainability. Also discussed are the legal implications of ownership forms together with personnel and staffing requirements. Capital requirements, financial management, marketing plans, and internal management control systems are considered in relation to the strategic focus of the social enterprise.
