Ferrum College ENG 100 Fundamentals of Writing/Developmental English Fall 2024, Start Date 10/07/24

The course develops competency in the use of English mechanics, word usage, and sentence structure to develop effective paragraphs and thesis-based essays. Students will also use active reading strategies to analyze assigned readings and respond to the readings in writing. This class will also cover basic writing skills that will be essential in college, such as composing emails and communicating with other professionals. 3 credits
